The Importance of Cleansing

Poor diet and the consumption of denatured, processed foods have resulted in almost every person over the age of six developing intestinal problems, which in later years may contribute to the development of various acute, chronic, and degenerative diseases such as cancer, heart disease, and diabetes, as well as fatigue, premature ageing, poor eyesight, memory loss, poor complexion, and mood and behavioural disorders. Over 90% of disease is thought to be caused by a dysfunctional digestive system, either directly or indirectly. “It is invariably necessary to care for the bowel first before any effective healing can take place,” explains Dr. Bernard Jensen. Because of the slow buildup of multiple layers of impacted mucoidal plaque in the digestive system, people suffer from malabsorption and auto-intoxification.

This substance can build up to be several inches thick and can travel the full length of the stomach, small intestine, and colon. One autopsy found a colon stretched to 9″ in diameter, with barely a quarter-inch of channel remaining open. Another autopsy found a colon so densely packed with mucoidal plaque that it weighed more than 40 pounds; a healthy colon weighs only four pounds. These mucoid layers are typically evacuated during the cleanse in chunks ranging from two to four feet in length and formed exactly like the location of the intestine from whence they originated. This decomposing material may contain parasites, medications, fungal overgrowths, and decaying food. Toxic compounds may depart through all elimination pathways while on the cleanse, including the skin, kidneys, lungs, mouth, and nose.

When the intestines get compacted with mucoidal plaque, the digestive processes may be hampered, resulting in sluggish peristaltic movement or constipation, which is known to cause major health concerns. Mucoid layers also obstruct appropriate nutrient absorption. When peristaltic activity slows, it can cause diverticulitis, colitis, colon cancer, leaky gut, and a variety of other physiological disorders. Any accumulation of this old substance causes fermentation, putrefaction, stagnant pockets of toxins, caustic gases, and dangerous germs. Toxins regularly infiltrate into the bloodstream and lymphatic systems, resulting in self-poisoning. They will ultimately infect the weakest sections of the body, causing symptoms, and are named for those places and the degree of cellular degeneration involved. Unfortunately, symptoms of a toxically overloaded gut are usually addressed rather than the cause, which just leads to the toxicity manifesting itself in illness.

Colonic Irrigation

There are three techniques to deliver water or infusions into the colon via the rectum. Enemas, colemas, and high colonics are all options. Enemas are beneficial when infusing a maximum of one and a half litres of fluid for coffee infusions that activate liver enzymes to cleanse the blood or for anti-parasite treatments. Colemas are self-administered and increase water intake, but owing to the inexperience of many first-time users, optimum mucoidal plaque clearance is not attained. High colonics are provided by skilled practitioners using a colonic machine or a gravity feed system, which allows up to 25 litres of water to gently ebb and flow throughout the whole colon, guaranteeing the optimum outcomes in terms of plaque removal and comfort. Our experience at the Fisher King Centre has shown that the gravity feed technique allows for a more nuanced approach that considers the patient’s health and specific demands. Fiona Bruce, the centre’s colon hydrotherapist, also gives abdominal massages throughout her sessions, which considerably improves the effectiveness of the procedure. If you believe colonics are not right for you, such as if you have had intestinal surgery or have ulcerative colitis, please contact us or your doctor.

The Importance of Cleansing

Disease can only be overcome permanently when the cause is addressed, colon cleansing is known to help prevent and ameliorate the following conditions:

Healthy Intestinal Bacteria

Few people understand the significance of removing unhealthy bacteria from the intestinal tract and replacing them with healthy bacteria, which are required for a strong immune system, efficient nutritional absorption, and the production of vitamins B2, B3, B6, B12, K, Biotin, Folic Acid, lipids, and amino acids. Healthy gut flora lowers cholesterol, regulates pH in the intestines, detoxifies harmful chemicals in our meals, produces cancer-fighting compounds, increases calcium absorption, and helps to prevent candida, gas, and foul breath. Good bacteria also aid in finishing digestion, which reduces harmful residues that stimulate putrefactive bacteria. They also aid in the elimination of possible allergens caused by inadequate protein digestion. They save the liver’s effort by minimising the flow of toxins into the bloodstream. According to one probiotic researcher, “the metabolic activity of gut bacteria is potentially equal to that of the liver.” Food and its breakdown products linger longer in the intestines without helpful bacteria, resulting in constipation and sticky deposits, which increase toxicity. The flora also aids in the breakdown of bile, which inhibits some harmful organisms. Pro-biotic bacteria create alkaline conditions in the intestines; alkalinity is essential for preventing the growth of putrefactive bacteria, yeasts (particularly Candida Albicans), and moulds.

They also create specialised molecules, such as hydrogen peroxide, that inhibit and even kill harmful bacteria. Lactobacilli and bifidobacteria have been shown to suppress other organisms to such an extent that they are assumed to manufacture natural antibiotics.
